Another one bites the dust...

Not really. But once you hear that line.. it could be days until the DA DA DA leaves your head.

Another marathon last weekend.. .this one was put on by Pacific Coast Trail Runs.. and they did an excelent job marking an incredible course on Mount Diablo and making sure we had enough Fuel for the Fire. It was the hottest day of the year... and you could have scrapped a years supply of salt off of my face.. Food for Thought... is that organic?

It is my new PW (personal worst) as far as time goes, but as shown on the below Elevation Chart.. Time is Relative when you are on the Mountain.

And though I won't be galavanting nationally to see the greatest act in history.. as in years past... I am looking forward to being in one of the top 2 concert venues in the country(maybe the world).. with the #1 touring act in history... my baby doll.. and great friends...

PHUCK YEAH!

That's right baby... The Good Ol' Gorge Amphitheater in Good Ol' George, Washington..... WAHOO

On a side note: I Do miss the days when you could just show up to the venue and skate your way in "One Way or Another".......
Demand is Crazy... an All TIme High...
Got shut down on the lottery...then on the phone....
Thank god for Ebay.. although spending a days work to see one show is a little ridiculus... But I can't complain now that I gots Me TiX.

A SAD DAY IN CALIFORNIA

Its a sad day here in California. Today i've lost my great friend and surf partner. His name is Justin Grey and he is one of the most "stand-up" people i've ever been lucky enough to call friend. I can't recall the last time I felt such a loss, and I tear up every time i think about all the good times we've had together. Justin is the only "real" surf partner I've ever known...sure I've paddled out with others, but Justin and I would always drive together... hang in the same spots... and watch each other as we let the ocean do its thing.. just trying to hang ten... and connect with the universe.

I met Justin at our old apartment complex, Archstone Calabasas... and for the last year or so we've surfed, run, worked out at the gym, hung at the pool, played tennis(which was sooo much fun)... all the active stuff i love to do.. Justin was ready to go at the drop of a hat. One phone call, and Justin would be ready within 10 minutes.

Justin is in a U-Haul right now w/ all his worldly posessions.. pulling his Cadilllac on a trailer... all the way back to Columbia, MO... which he called home some 6 years ago.. and soon enough will be calling home again. 6 years Justin spent living here in Calabasas... after graduating from College he took a personal stand and moved himself out to California.. all on his own...worked his way up the corporate ladder... struggling for the 1st few years to even pay the bills... but he survived and even came out on top... Notice i Said CADILLAC...

I'm gonna miss Justin Grey.. But Wish Him all the Best in Life.

Don't worry Justin.. we'll stay in touch.. and surf together again!

Miss you Dude!!!
